1. Simulation only — no real orders
Tasilab is a paper-trading simulation. Every order, fill, position, and profit-or-loss number you see on the platform is generated by our matching engine for educational and research purposes. No order placed on Tasilab is ever sent to the Saudi Exchange or to any broker. No money changes hands. No securities are bought or sold. No real account is funded or debited.
2. Not licensed by the CMA
Tasilab is not licensed by the Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority (CMA). We are not a broker, not a financial advisor, not a portfolio manager, and not a custodian. We do not hold a license to perform any of the activities regulated under the Capital Market Law of Saudi Arabia or its implementing regulations. We do not need such a license because we do not perform any of those activities — we are a developer tool that simulates trading for the purpose of strategy research and education.
3. Not investment advice
Nothing on Tasilab constitutes investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. Backtest results, simulated trades, "starter experiments," educational content, blog posts, documentation examples, and any other material on the platform are for informational and research purposes only. Do not treat any output of Tasilab as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Any decision to trade in real markets is solely yours.
Before making any real-money investment decision, consult a properly licensed financial advisor in your jurisdiction.
4. Past simulation performance does not predict real-world results
A strategy that performs well in a backtest or paper-trading simulation may perform very differently in live markets. Real trading is affected by:
- Slippage and price impact that simulators approximate but cannot perfectly model.
- Order rejections, partial fills, and queue position at the exchange.
- Liquidity changes around news, opening auctions, and closing auctions.
- Real commission, tax, and financing costs that may differ from our assumptions.
- Behavioural and psychological factors that do not exist when no real money is at stake.
Past performance — whether real or simulated — is not indicative of future results.
5. Market data is informational only
Quote and historical data shown on Tasilab is sourced from public providers including Yahoo Finance and Sahmk. The data may be:
- Delayed — the marketing-page ticker shows quotes delayed by approximately 15 minutes.
- Inaccurate — provider feeds occasionally contain errors, gaps, or stale values.
- Adjusted — historical bars may reflect dividend or split adjustments that differ from those on the Saudi Exchange.
Tasilab does not represent itself as the authoritative source of price information. For authoritative quotes, dividends, corporate actions, or any data on which a real-money decision depends, refer to the Saudi Exchange or a licensed market-data provider directly.
6. Risks of trading
Trading securities — whether on Tadawul or any other market — carries risk, including the risk of total loss of principal. Strategies that look profitable in a sandbox can produce losses in live markets. Algorithmic and high-frequency strategies carry additional risks of system failure, latency, and cascading errors.
You should not trade any market with money you cannot afford to lose, regardless of how confident you are in a strategy you developed using Tasilab or any other tool.
7. Service availability
Tasilab is provided on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or any specific service level. The platform may be unavailable, slow, or buggy at any time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. See our Terms of Use for full details.
8. Your responsibility
By using Tasilab you confirm that:
- You understand the service is a simulation, not a real-money trading platform.
- You will not present any output of Tasilab as licensed investment advice or as the basis for advice you give to others.
- You are solely responsible for any decision you make in real markets, whether or not informed by your work on Tasilab.
- You will comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
